VGS WELCOMES COACH MEGAN HILL

Coach Megan (Kolts) Hill, has joined the PRHS Lady Lions for this 2012-2013 season, as the Varsity Girls Head Soccer Coach. Coach Hill is currently a Health and Physical Education teacher at Shiloh High School. Hill, a product of Gwinnett County Schools, graduated from North Gwinnett in 2004.  Prior to coming to Peachtree Ridge, Coach Hill was the Women's Head Soccer coach at Shiloh High School, and coached at the collegiate level at Columbus State University.

At CSU, Hill (Kolts) was promoted to Assistant Coach for the 2010 season, after joining the Columbus State University coaching staff as a graduate assistant in 2009. Her responsibilities included working with the attacking players, recruiting, and running the strength and conditioning program for the Lady Cougars. Hill (Kolts) received her Master’s degree in Physical Education and Health in May 2010 from Columbus State University.

A four-year starter at Southern Miss, Hill (Kolts) had played in the second most number of games in the Golden Eagles history with 68.  Hill (Kolts) was also a member of the Conference USA Commissioner’s Honor Roll and the Dean’s List.  She graduated from the University of Southern Mississippi with a Bachelor of Science degree in Physical Education and Health, in December 2008.

 Coach Hill (Kolts) earned All-County honors and led the team in scoring her senior season at North Gwinnett High School. She played club soccer with GFC (formally known as Brookwood Steamers) and ended her club career with the Norcross Soccer Club.

 Hill is also employed with the US Soccer Federation, as the site coordinator for US licensing courses.  In May 2010, she received her United States Soccer Federation “C” license.

 
Currently, Megan Hill coaches two girls teams (U17 and U18) at the Gwinnett Soccer Club (GSA).
