The Girls Varsity Soccer team stayed hot even with wintery weather bearing down on their recent span of games. The Habersham Central Raiders visited the Lion’s Den on Tuesday night and they were handed a convincing 4-0 defeat by our Lady Lions.
Sumer Culberson led the way as she scored on a free kick from about 30 yards out and added 2 assists. Macey Raines scored on a perfect header and Kinsey Dziwura tapped in a goal, both off Culberson corner kicks. Jordyn Missel added another goal with an assist by Amanda Ferry to complete the scoring. Renita Patel and Brittney Gonzalez were in goal as they teamed with the Lady Lion’s D-Line for the shutout.
The Lady Lions now stand at (2-1) in Region 7-AAAAAA; (4-5) as they make the trek over to Mountain View HS on 3/28/13 for another important Region match.
