The Lady Lions put an impressive win together against Brookwood last Tuesday night. In the opening minute McKay Culberson passed the ball to Jordyn Missel who scored the 1st goal to make it 1 – 0 Lions. In the 4th minute, Esther Cano made a pass to Jordyn Missel who punched it over the goalie's head to make it 2 – 0 Lions. The 3rd goal was scored in the 10th minute when Esther Cano and Jordyn Missel charged the defenders and Jordyn came up with her 3rd goal of the night. With 10 minutes left in the first half, Brookwood scored to bring the game to 3 – 1 Lions at half time. Seven minutes into the 2nd half Brookwood scored their 2nd goal to make it 3 – 2 Lions. Jordyn Missel finished out the night by scoring another goal to make it 4 – 2 Lions. With 9 minutes left in the game, Brookwod scored their 3rd goal to make it a 1 goal game. It was a nail biter ending to a very hard fought game, but the Lions came though victorious with a final score of 4 - 3. Cosette Morsche had 5 incredible saves and a lot of help from the unwavering Lions defense.

The Varsity Lady Lions played their 1st region game against Mill Creek this week. Down 2 key players (McKay Culberson with a broken toe and Cossette Morsche with a broken finger), the team banned together for an impressive game against the Lady Hawks. Jordyn Missel stepped in to play keeper and showed well with 5 incredible saves. The defense of Kinsey Dziwura, Kayla Thomas, Olivia Hall and Sumer Culberson shut down the Hawks key player who has scored in every game they have played this year. All of the Lady Lions fought hard and stepped up to fill in for the gaps they had to overcome. Despite their best efforts, the Hawks score on an early corner kick held out to be the only score of the game. The Lady Lions play away tonight at Meadowcreek in their 2nd region game.
