The girls looked good on Wednesday. They had an idea of how the first place Hawks played from Monday and we stepped up to the plate. Our offense worked hard trying to get the ball on the other side but their defense just wouldn’t let us through. The Hawks scored first but we never gave up trying and pushed that much harder.

The score at halftime was 1-0 but Coach York gave the girls the talk they needed and they came out fighting. Although our defense was working hard, the Hawks scored again making it 2-0. Smriti Singh, Katie Lane, Maddie Wages, Samantha Whaley, Hannah Peterson and Sophia Sakers were all working together to score a goal. Smriti came through and scored a beautiful goal mid-way through the second half.

Unfortunately, with only minutes left in the game, we could not score another and the final score was 2-1. Kelsey Julian played an awesome game with over 10 saves, way to play!

Please come out and support our girls tonight against Meadowcreek at home. Go Lions!!!
