PR VB fought hard on Friday night @ Meadowcreek. We played a tough defense game and goalie Ryan Breon was able to save 5 shots on goal. The entire team played well but defense players Ryan Fitton, Grayson Guldenschuh and Jake Siracusa did great holding back the Mustangs. The 1st qtr went scoreless for both teams til a penalty kick by the Mustangs scored the 1st and only goal of the game. The final score was 0-1. It was a tough loss but the VB were ready for our 3rd region game of the season against Habersham on Tuesday night.
VB hosted Habersham on Tuesday night in the 3rd Region game. The boys were determined to get a win due to the previous game results. Habersham scored the 1st goal but PR fought to get the score 1-1 by the end of the 1st half. Sahil Mahajan made the first goal as a result of a penalty kick. The 2nd quarter PR came back ready to defend and dominated the ball of the quarter. David Meija wanting some of the action recieved a ball from Raul Diaz and raced in to score goal #2. With the game now tied, the ball was dropped within 8 yards of the goal and Jake Siracusa blasted the ball in to score goal #3 for the Lions. Jordan Davis scored a goal immediatly following but the ball was ruled out of bounds. Nevertheless, the Lions hard fight resulted in a successful win. Great contributions to the win were also seen by Marrkus Reese, Cesar Adrianzen, Ryan Fitton, Collin BeVier and Grayson Guldenschuh. Final score 3-2. Lions are now 1-2 in the region and 5-3 overall.
Next game is Thursday @ Mountain View.
