PRESEASON TRAINING IN FULL SWING

“GET YOUR GAME ON!”

With the fall club season behind them, the PRHS Soccer Lions have hit the WPI High School Training sessions in full stride.  “New PRHS High School training participants are showing up daily,” reported WPI President Scott Courter.  “It is great to see the enthusiasm and the players training together.  There is an accountability factor that comes into play between team mates.  Our training is intense, but these disciplined players will be going into the season in top physical condition which should help jump start the Lions season in 2012.”

PRHS player specific sessions are held at 4:00 and 6:00 on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday each week, but enrolled players can train in any WPI Speed and Agility that is convenient to them and fits their schedule.  “If you miss a session, make it up!” an enthusiastic Courter said.  “These sessions are designed to improve your explosiveness, agility, vertical leap and stamina.  We believe every player can benefit from these sessions – but consistency and discipline are key.”

Returning Seniors Katey Lippitt, Graham Green, and Emily Edmonds for the girls teams and  JT Taplin, Daryl Sack and Mike Valenzuela for the boys program are encouraging all returning AND new players to participate in these sessions.  “We need everyone training NOW if we are going to reach our goals in 2012,” said senior Katey Lippitt.  “If you cannot make the WPI sessions, do your best to train at PRHS with the PRHS coaches - or on your own.  Do something every day to make the Lions better in 2012!”

All scheduled lion pre-season training sessions are posted on the Lion's Calendar on the Peachtree Ridge Soccer website @ www.prhssoccer.com.
