On March 21st, the JV Lady Lions faced off against the Meadowcreek Mustangs. Dominating the first half offensively, the Lions roared ahead 3-0. Smriti Singh broke through the Mustang defense to score on a heavily defended shot from the right. The Mustangs attempted to respond but the Lions were on a roll. Sarah Isaacs attacked from the left side, putting another goal on the board for the team. Meadowcreek tried to break through the Lions defense, but they were denied and before the half-time whistle was blown, Smriti Singh broke away from the pack to score again on an assist from Sophia Sakers. In the second half the Mustangs stepped up their game, but the Lions defense was up to the challenge. Time and again the back line thwarted their efforts, until finally the Mustangs were able to sneak one through making the final score 3-1 Lions. Congratulations Lady Lions on a job well done!
