Wednesday night, April 4th, the JV Lady Lions hit the pitch at home against the North Gwinnett Bulldogs. Despite the dreary weather, the stands were full as many friends and family came out to support both local teams After the whistle blew, the Bulldog offense made it through early on, scoring their first goal four minutes into the game. The Lions stepped up the pace, but the Bulldogs repeated sixteen minutes later, leaving the Lions trailing by 2 at the half. Following the break, the Lions pulled it together, moving the ball across the field, connecting their passes, and advancing toward the goal. As the rain increased and the thermometer dropped, North Gwinnett put a 3rd goal on the board with only eight minutes left to play. The Lions fought until the end, both teams splashing through the field, but the Bulldogs went home with the shutout. Final score: 3-0 Bulldogs.
